Espire Elbow

Released: 2020
Role: Industrial Design Intern

During the summer of 2017, Altair Thinklabs designed a digital elbow for College Park Prosthetics. The Espire Elbow aims to innovate in a field where there are few key players. The goal was to create a more natural form that users are proud to wear because it not only looks superior, but has superior performance to the options currently available.

I worked collaboratively on every aspect of this project with Altair's lead designer and VP of design from June 2017-August 2017. My responsibilities included conceptual sketching and initial ideation, final image creation, and making the presentations for our client.

Being part of the team that designed this was an amazing experience that taught me so much about completing research and using it to inform the design of product that is intrinsically connected to it's user.
